Industry: Industrial Maintenance & Engineering
Project Type: Line Shaft Assembly Overhaul
Client Need: Rapid Recovery During Planned Outage
During a recent planned outage, the HAYLEY 247 DEXIS engineering team was called in to support a valued customer with the full overhaul of both ingoing and outgoing line shaft assemblies—a project essential to restoring operations on time and to spec.
Scope of Work
This was a time-sensitive, high-impact job that demanded precision, coordination, and technical experience. This full process included:
- Complete strip-down and inspection of all gears, bearings and mechanical components
- Replacements of worn bevel gears and thrust bearings with high-quality parts
- Rebuild of both line shaft assemblies using components sourced and supplied by HAYLEY 247 DEXIS
- Installation of new tapered gib head keys where required
- Removal of welded plates, followed by drilling and tapping to exact customer specification
Our team worked seamlessly to carry out each stage of the job, efficiently, and in alignment with the tight outage schedule.
Delivered Under Pressure
With the outage putting the customer’s wider operations on hold, there was no margin for delay. Our ability to mobilise quickly, apply expert-level mechanical knowledge, and complete the work within a limited timeframe played a key role in helping the customer resume operations without further interruption.
The Result
A full restoration of both ingoing and outgoing assemblies, completed on time and built to last. Another example of how HAYLEY 247 DEXIS delivers engineering excellence when it matters most.
